The Housing Ombudsman Service is set up by law to look at complaints about the housing organisations that are registered with us. Their service is free, independent and impartial. They resolve disputes involving the tenants and leaseholders of social landlords (housing associations and local authorities) and their voluntary members (private landlords and letting agents who are committed to good service for their tenants).

The Local Energy Advice Programme is available for individuals in Oxford who are on benefits, have a long term health or mental health condition or other vulnerabilities. This entitles you to a free energy home visit, free small energy repairs such as draught proofing and LED lights, and free phone support with your finances. You could also get free or discounted insulation or boilers if available.

The Wantage and Grove Foodbank is a practical, community-based project, organised by local churches, which provides food parcels to those in the Wantage area who find themselves temporarily in difficult circumstances. Referrals are made by a number of agencies, including: Vale Community Impact, Health visitors / GPs or other health professionals, social services & local churches.

The Thame foodbank provides emergency supplies of essential food items to those in our community who are struggling financially.

Aylesbury food bank is a project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area. Provides emergency food to people referred to the foodbank in crisis.

Witney and West Oxfordshire Food Bank provides emergency food parcels of non-perishable food items and occasionally toiletries to people who are experiencing an unexpected crisis situation. A project founded by local churches and community groups, working together towards stopping hunger in the local area. They are entirely volunteer-run project founded by local residents.

North Oxfordshire Community Food bank are a voluntary group formed by members of local Christian churches. Their aim is to provide food parcels to people within the Kidlington, Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Charlbury area. The parcels contain essential food for individuals and families in case of emergency, covering the time it takes for other social care infrastructure to come into play.

Community Emergency Food bank (CEF) receives donations of tins and packets from local churches and other organisations and makes it available to families and individuals who cannot buy food and need emergency supplies.

The Oxford Food bank takes unsold food from local supermarkets and suppliers and redistributes it to community food projects in and around Oxford.
