Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire
Overview
Home-Start Southern Oxfordshire is a voluntary home-visiting scheme, which supports families with at least one child aged five or under in the southern area of Oxfordshire. It is managed locally, but supported by Home-Start UK, the national organisation which offers training, information and guidance to Home-Start schemes to ensure consistent and quality support for parents and children wherever they are.

When/Where?
Volunteers offer two to three hours a week, on a regular basis, to visit one or two families in their homes. They do not replace social workers or health visitors and are not connected to any other agency, although they are aware of services offered by them. Volunteers receive travel expenses only.
