Overview
Music Therapy exists to improve people’s lives and wellbeing through the enjoyment of music. Their aim is to facilitate positive changes in emotional wellbeing and communication through the engagement in live musical interaction.
Guideposts Music Therapy service offers music therapy to individuals, couples and large and small groups. Sessions take place in community centres, residential care homes, schools, and we also offer home visits. We also run several community-based, music therapist led groups (see details below).
When/Where?
Guideposts Music Therapy Service exists to improve peoples lives and wellbeing. Everybody has the ability to connect with and respond to music, and music therapy uses this connection to facilitate positive changes in emotional wellbeing and communication through the engagement in live musical interaction between the person and the therapist.
